I received a message left on the phone on a Wed morning after I had left for work to say the sweet million plants were unavailable and that Shirley's would be dispatched instead but please would I phone if I did not want them. I came home from work at 7:30that evening and listened to the message later, went to work early next morning so when I got home at 1pm I tried to phone to say that I only wanted sweet million and please do not send Shirley's, no reply and the unwanted plants arrived with the postman at 2:15 pm. I particularly wanted sweet million as these are our favourites and I had already been given some Shirley's. I have put the Shirley's in but won't be ordering plants again in case something similar happens, I think more effort should have been made to contact me before dispatching something I did not order.

Many of us have small gardens with growing space at a premium which may mean that we can't rotate crops as we would like. Grafting combines a hardy base plant highly resistant to soil-borne disease, grafted onto a variety with superior flavoured fruit.
Grafted stems are held together with a clip until the cell structures knit together producing a strong disease resistant plant.
Grafted Tomatoes have been grown commercially for many years because they:
-Are much more vigorous, producing larger, stronger plants -Are less susceptible to nutritional disorders
-Are particularly recommended for greenhouse growing, especially if planted directly into the soil
-Produce fruit up to two to three weeks earlier
-Give higher yields of top quality fruit over a longer period compared with normal plants
-Have greater resistance to pests and diseasesSee Full Description +
