Speedwell Veronica Charlotte is a beautiful and fast-growing perennial that emerges from the soil like a phoenix from the ashes with white-edged leaves making way for beautiful spires of white flowers, reaching a height of 90cm (3ft).

The white flowers last for months in the summer and look fantastic planted near foxgloves and other tall flowers like Verbena bonariensis and perennial salvias. When grown in pots Veronica Charlotte looks lovely surrounded by trailing bedding like white lobelias and trailing petunias.

Useful tip:

Consider cutting the stems to add to vases for your home- they partner well in vases with the big blooms of roses. The white flowers complement all other colours in the spectrum so choose to pair up with purple baptisia or red roses to suit your mood.
