Water Lily Nymphaea Virginalis - Bare Root
Easy-to-care-for, this perfectly-formed waterlily is a great plant for beginners to try. Watch the blooms come up in summer atop the lily leaves that provide valuable shelter for aquatic wildlife.
Just plant up this bare rooted lily into a container filled with aquatic compost and top it with attractive stones to hold the soil in place.
Do this from April to June to the correct depth, so that the leaves rest comfortably on the water surface and enjoy the results. A sunny position is beneficial to achieve brilliant blooms.
The leaves are excellent hiding-spots for fish and other pond wildlife and provide a cool haven in the height of summer.
